I admit.
I watch The Secret Life of the American Teenager
but, I didn't realize how much I appreciate the characters more than I did before.
I started reading up on the show's cast...

Shailene Woodley was originally cast to play (and held the role for the first season) Marisa Cooper's little sister, Kaitlyn.

One of Shailene's character's best friend, Lauren, is played by the same girl who was "Vanessa" on the Bernie Mac Show. I frequently watched that when i was in high school.

This next one is the best though.

Renee Olstead. The girl is ONLY 19. And holy cripes...does she sing.
She's a jazz singer...so along with acting as child...she perfected her voice in jazz...and holy moly does she do an incredibly beautiful job.
